(September 2025, Barcelona, Spain) — The 2025 Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) Congress, the world’s premier event in interventional radiology, was successfully held in Barcelona, Spain. As an innovation leader in minimally invasive oncology, Hygea Medical made a strong impression with the debut of its two flagship products — the AI Epic™ Co-ablation System and the Exceed™ Microwave Ablation System. With their unique technological advantages, Hygea’s solutions became a highlight of the congress, attracting widespread attention and sparking active discussions among global experts.

As one of the largest and most influential international academic conferences in interventional radiology, CIRSE 2025 gathered leading specialists and clinicians from Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia. The Hygea booth drew strong interest throughout the event, with its cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions becoming a hot topic of discussion among experts. During the congress, Hygea presented its two core innovations, demonstrating the company’s technological depth and breadth in minimally invasive tumor ablation:

1.AI Epic™ Co-ablation System: With an exceptionally wide temperature range from -196°C to +85°C, this system combines cryoablation with thermal ablation, enabling more precise, efficient, and controllable treatments across complex clinical scenarios. Equipped with 14 high-performance probes (as small as 16G), it provides unprecedented flexibility and reliability for treating tumors of varying sizes, shapes, and locations — offering new solutions for challenging and refractory cases.

2.Exceed™ Microwave Ablation System: Featuring advanced energy control algorithms and multi-channel parallel technology, this system generates efficient and predictable ablation zones, significantly enhancing both procedural accuracy and efficiency. Its outstanding performance further expands the boundaries of minimally invasive oncology, meeting the urgent clinical demand for safer and more effective treatments.

Hygea’s technological strengths received high recognition from experts at the meeting. Several renowned interventional radiologists from Italy, Germany, and France visited the Hygea booth to discuss technical details and clinical applications in depth. Notably, Prof. Afshin Gangi, former president of CIRSE, also visited Hygea’s booth and held constructive discussions with the team on the future development and clinical value of co-ablation technology. These high-level exchanges opened new windows of collaboration for Hygea in both academic and commercial fields worldwide.
