Cryotherapy for tumours has a history of over 100 years, with argon-helium technology first used in the US in 1998. However, the application of argon-helium technology in Chinese clinics has been very limited due to difficulties in obtaining work materials and safety risks. In 2017, the Cryosurgical System was born, It brings cryoablation to a whole new clinical perspective in China: The deeply cryoablation (-196°C) is more thorough and maximizes the treatment zone; high intensity heating (80°C) is safer and bleeding and tumour needle tract implantation is circumvented.

I have come to realise that traditional surgery has many disadvantages in my surgical clinical experience for many years. I always thinking how to get a new treatment to solve all of the problems such as the trauma greatly ,recover slowly, accepted poorly and the cost of treatment highly. It is lucky to find the Cryosurgical System and it gave me wonderfully and successfully surgical experience on completing surgery for patients with it .for example :lung cancer, metastatic lung cancer, squamous carcinoma of the left lung, cancerous pain in the right chest wall, and lung cancer invading the pleura. Discussion:  Rational planning of ablation operation; Choosing the best option

• Cryoablation procedure:  do the biopsy firstly , then cryoablation is feasible.

• After the cryoablation: reasonable intraoperative freezing time, better physical indications after surgery.

• After the cryoablation: PET-CT is a good tool to judge the extent and efficacy of ablation.

• The ablation of Lung tumour : reasonable preoperative planning can avoid haemoptysis.

• Pulmonary ablation of GGO: we find there is little point in performing a biopsy instead of the direct ablation which is the best option.

• Selecting the ablation procedure: It is recommended that we had better to use the cold and heat compound ablation when we operate the situation such as the adjacent to large blood vessels and near important organs.
